Being a leader can be difficult, and it is a skill that can be taught. The sooner leadership potential is cultivated in, the better. The Marcus Jackson Project invites you to join our Youth Leadership Council. This initiative provides an opportunity for young people ages 14-24 years of age to dig into various aspects of local politics and advocacy. Here, young leaders learn the connection between themselves, violence, and politics. Our young leaders also have the opportunity to explore how exercising the right to vote leads to safer communities and they develop creative ways of sharing this information with others.
